Discover the Drevuliaci with your children. These are seven oversized wooden sculptures set along a hiking trail in Račková Valley near Pribylina.
Along the route, you’ll meet the shepherd Račko with his grandson Plačko, an angel whose wing brushed against Kriváň, the lazy mushroom picker Fero resting in a basket, the stubborn Yemník guarding the entrance to the Narrow Valley, Pionierka Vierka, who found eternal youth here, and the water goblin Mokrofúzik. Each sculpture has its own story – some are humorous, others mysterious; all are authentic.

At the entrance to the valley, a painted map shows the exact location of all the sculptures. Set out to find them – children can tick off each one they discover.
Enjoy a walk in the fresh mountain air as you take in the calm atmosphere of the Western Tatras and the scent of spruce forest in the picturesque Račková Valley.
The Drevuliaci were created in 2017 as a community project without grants or subsidies. They are the work of woodcarver Michal Hanula, who can create virtually anything from wood – the result is remarkably lifelike. The sculptures reach up to four metres in height and weigh around 300 kilograms.
The route is approximately 5 km long, easy and suitable for the whole family. Entry is free and the trail is accessible all year round.
