One of the most popular Slovak boutique festivals returns to the iconic spaces of the gallery garden of the Liptovská galerie P. M. Bohúňa after a year. On June 5 and 6, 2026, it will welcome fans of high-quality Slovak and Czech music, visual art and a unique community atmosphere.
Over the years of its existence, Sound Garden has built a reputation as an event that does not sacrifice quality for mass appeal. This year, it once again focused on a diverse genre palette – from energetic hip-hop performed by Gleb, through timeless pop by Puding Pani Elvisová, the great Modré Hory, metal acts Rust2Dust vs. Zverina to other discoveries of the domestic alternative scene.
Although the festival began in Partizánská Ľupča in the 400-year-old Hendlová záhrada, its home has become the Gallery Garden of the Liptovská galerie P. M. Bohúňa in the center of Liptovský Mikuláš. This environment gives the event an intimate and family atmosphere, which is in contrast to huge mass festivals.
Sound Garden is not just about music. It places great emphasis on truly perfect gastronomy. Carefully selected vendors of local and quality street food are an integral part of a good festival. For this year, they are ready with Japanese cuisine — gyoza, Indian cuisine and, for the first time, also home-made unmistakable Liptov offal.
The accompanying program is built in a variety of ways: cultural workshops, discussions, activities for children, an animation program and a very special guest — a talk show presented by the great Slovak writer Jur Červenák.
