Jamišný waterfall is one of several waterfalls that hide the basin of the Čutkovský stream flowing through the Čutkovská valley. The water in the Jamišná valley shaped the environment and created several cascades on the steep slopes, on which the Jamišný waterfall (Nižný Jamišný waterfall) is also located. The waterfall was made accessible as part of the “Known Unknown” educational trail. It is a popular destination for slightly longer, but not very demanding walks.
Jamišný waterfall is located in the upper part of the Čutkovska valley, specifically in Jamišná dolinka in the “Kozie” locality. The waterfall is also known as Nižný Pálenický waterfall according to the nearby locality. The locality lies in the protection zone of the Veľká Fatra National Park. The waterfall is about 6 km away from the center of Ružomberok (as the crow flies). An educational trail leads to the waterfall from the Ružomberok city district of Černová.
Please note: The trail to the waterfall is closed during the winter months.
