The Rozeta Gallery has a fascinating story that began 50 years ago. Its creation was initiated by the academic painter Ján Kudlička, Milan Adamčiak and Róbert Cyprich, who in the 1970s dreamed of creating a space for young artists in Ružomberok. However, their efforts were not realized at the time.
The Rozeta Association of Artists and Architects, which was established in 1994, became the basis for today’s gallery, from which the current name also comes.
After years of effort and passion of several artistic personalities, a cultural center was created that serves not only domestic authors, but also international artists.
The Rozeta Gallery was officially opened in September 2022 during the Fullove dni festival, under the auspices of the Mayor, MUDr. Igor Čombor. Its goal is to support contemporary art, education and creative meetings, while offering space for various art forms, such as paintings, sculptures, graphics and conceptual works.
Galeria Rozeta has been operating for three years, and during that time it has become a place for exhibitions of artists, architects, photographers, workshops, screenings, concerts and lectures. It currently operates in the premises of the Plavisko 7 building, where it has been rented for three years, but we have been striving for our own space together with the city of Ružomberok for a long time. Galeria Rozeta has the ambition to become a city gallery, with its own premises.
