Štefan Nikolaj Hýroš Park is a lively setting for cultural activity that brightens the centre of Ružomberok. It offers space for children, mothers, and a wide range of interest groups, and it also serves as a place to unwind or take part in cultural events.
The park is named after Štefan Nikolaj Hýroš, a member of the Hýroš family who was a Catholic priest, public figure, historian, specialist author, and professor of church history and canon law. He spent his priestly life in Liptovský Trnovec, Hybe, and Liptovský Michal, and was involved in founding several organisations that are still active today. He was among the founding members of Matica slovenská and the St. Adalbert Association, and he also contributed to the establishment of the Slovak grammar school in Kláštor pod Znievom.
