Experience an authentic Slovak summer in Vlkolínec! From July to August, you are cordially invited to the series of events Vlkolínec in the summer of 2026, where crafts, folklore and nature meet in unique harmony.
Every weekend will be dedicated to traditional skills, agriculture and culture, which you can not only see, but also try out for yourself! You will be able to see how beautiful clay objects, gingerbread houses, embroidered ornaments or wire jewelry are created. You will try many of the techniques – the lecturers will be happy to show you “how to do it”.
Demonstrations and workshops include:
- crocheting, weaving
- basket making
- felting
- beading, tailoring
- honey making, carving, wire weaving
- pottery
- and much more

Agricultural demonstrations
Vlkolínec is not an open-air museum – it is a living place where flax, vegetables and bees grow. During the summer, they will show you:
- flax processing from field to thread
- traditional beekeeping and honey tasting
- wool processing
- cheese production
