Liptovský Hrádok

Liptovský Hrádok with the traditions of forestry, apiculture, mining and processing of timber and iron ore or rafting is the smallest town of the Liptov region. The surroundings of the town is attractive for lovers of hiking, bikers, white-water rafters, fishermen, skiers and admirers of historical monuments.

The most remarkable sights of the town include the Gothic castle and manor house, the first forestry school in the Hungarian Kingdom, Arboretum, Salt Office Building (now the Ethnographical and Shepherd Museum), bell of the original blast furnace, Jewish lapidarium, protected linden alley, Pieta chapel with statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Classical Roman Catholic church or Roman Catholic church of St. Martin from the 13th century and historical buildings in Dovalovo.
