It departs from and moors at the beach in Liptovský Trnovec. The Nellisa is a ten-metre-long, stable vessel built for sea conditions, and is able to get around under both sail and engine power. The sailing boat is operated by a family business that has been providing this unique experience on Liptovská Mara for years. As long-standing members of the local yachting club, they are keen to share their experience with you.
During the hour-long cruise, a friendly, seasoned captain will guide you through the basics of sailing. You will also hear about the history of the reservoir and the sights of the Liptov region. The trip is enjoyable and pleasantly informative.
The cruise is suitable for all ages, including families with toddlers in buggies and visitors who use wheelchairs. The boat holds up to 11 passengers plus the captain.
Life jackets in all sizes are available on board.
Available options:
- Private cruises – the boat is reserved exclusively for your group, and the captain will tailor the trip to your wishes.
- Charity cruises – offered free of charge for socially disadvantaged groups, such as children from children’s homes. Appointments must be made in advance by phone or email.
You can reserve seats for a specific time by calling or by sending a text message with the number of passengers and your preferred time. Your booking will be confirmed straight away. On the day of your cruise, you can buy tickets at the white kiosk in the car park at ATC Liptovský Trnovec. Tickets are also available on arrival, with friendly staff ready to help you at the beach car park in Liptovský Trnovec.
