The best skiing in Slovakia is in Jasna ski resort. Skiing is available on the northern and southern slopes of Chopok summit on 50-kilometer ski slopes. Most of the slopes are covered with artificial snow (43 km). The routes are suitable for demanding as well as recreational skiers, but also for families with children and the beginners. This resort is the only one that can host World Cups in downhill skiing. The phenomenal Mikaela Shiffrin and the Olympic slovak champion in slalom Petra Vlhova took part at the race. Jasna is Petra´s home ski resort.
On the slopes of Chopok, the Jasná ski area promises a Slovak winter full of memorable experiences for the 2025/2026 season. The largest ski arena in Slovakia, with excellent conditions for winter sports, offers fun-filled skiing, modern cable cars, and a varied events calendar.
With 51 km of groomed pistes and a cutting-edge snowmaking system, Jasná guarantees at least five months of skiing each year on both the northern and southern sides of Chopok. The resort caters to all skill levels – from gentle blue runs to demanding black slopes. A network of 19 cable cars and lifts with a capacity of almost 32,000 people per hour, including the wind-resistant 24-seat Funitel and 15-seat gondolas linking both sides of Chopok, provides skiing enthusiasts with maximum comfort. Sweeping views from the second-highest peak of the Low Tatras await at the queen of mountain restaurants – the panoramic Rotunda with its sun terrace and the option to stay overnight on Chopok at an altitude of 2,004 m.

Jasná will offer superfast transport to the top of Mt Chopok only within 11 minutes this winter – thanks to the new A6 cable car between Biela Púť and Priehyba, which will make it much easier for skiers to move around the resort. What’s more, the expansion of the snowmaking system in the northern part of the resort will increase the quality of skiing in Jasná in general.
