Birthplace of Andrej Hlinka

The memorial house is dedicated to the prominent Slovak nationalist Andrej Hlinka, who was born there. In the house we can see an exhibition about his life and work. There is a room with period furniture, Hlinka’s personal belongings and manuscripts. Here we can see, for example, his bed, breviary, and priestly robes. The exhibition is completed by information panels and a wax figure of Andrej Hlinka. Here we can learn a lot of information about his life, childhood, the humble conditions in which he grew up, his priestly vocation, but also about his political activities.
