The Východná Folklore Festival is the oldest and most extensive national festival with international participation in our territory. Every year, on the threshold of the summer tourist season, on the first weekend of July, rich folk traditions come to life in an attractive environment near the High and Low Tatras, and the distinctive village of Východná becomes the center of Slovak culture for several days.
Východná is a celebration of folklore and its existence significantly contributes to the revival, preservation, creative development and public presentation of the precious values of our cultural treasury. Folklore is deeply rooted in the traditions and culture of the Slovak nation, which is why every contact can evoke in us the joy of meeting each other and revive not only history, but also feelings.
