The Čertovica ski resort (Čertova svadba) is located on the northern slopes of Čertova svadba hill (1463 m.n.m.) in the Low Tatras. Access to the resort is from the Čertovica saddle, where the road I / 72 leads, which connects the regions of Liptov and Horehronie. The ski resort offers four ski lifts serving mostly medium to difficult downhill runs and attractive off piste terrains. There is also a short ski lift for beginners with a 100-meter children’s bow. Four downhill runs are technically snowed, on Strmá and Jarná you can ski on natural snow.
Transport to the resort
You can get to Čertovice by car on the 1st class road no. 72. You can also get to the resort from Liptov and Horehronie by bus, just get off at the “Čertovica, motorest” stop.
Tips for accommodation
In the Čertovica saddle you will find several accommodation options, in addition to Chata Čertovica it is also the Mountain Hotel Totem, the Mountain Pension STIV or Chata pod Sedlom. In the valley part of the resort, by the mineral lake Kyselka, there is Chata Pod Čertovicou.
Good to know
On Čertovica there is also the Čertovica STIV resort (above the road, westwards), where, however, another ski pass is valid.
