It is a regular, variously intense outflow of gases (CO2) from a spring crater. The outcrops are sometimes very pronounced and cause the occasional death of small birds and other smaller animals. There are several never-freezing mineral springs in the locality, some of which are artificially modified to absorb water. Water from these springs is characterized by a peculiar odor and beneficial effects. The reservation also includes a small swamp with characteristic flora and fauna.
