“Kamenná chata ” is the third highest located alpine cottage (following the cottages Rysy and Téry in the High Tatras) located at an altitude of 2,000 m on the main ridge of the Low Tatra Mountains, just beneath the peak of Chopok.
It is accessible from all points of the compass. You can take a nice tour from the northern side, from the ski & tourist resort of Jasná. The cottage is also approachable by a cableway. The same is possible from the southern side, from the ski & tourist resort of Bystrá-Tále (Srdiečko station). And of course, you can reach us also from the east and west side along the main ridge of the Low Tatras. Trails are marked from all sides.
Kamenná chata pod Chopkom provides food and emergency accommodation in a rest house for 25 persons maximum.
