<\/span>The large cycling circuit around the “Liptov sea” passes through villages and foothills surrounding the largest water reservoir in Slovakia. <\/strong>Exploring the characteristic Liptov villages with traditional churches alternates with rides across vast meadows offering views of the water surface, the scenery of the Low, Western, and High Tatras, as well as the Cho\u010d Mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The terrain is varied but without long or overly challenging climbs. The cycling route runs either on less busy second- and third-class roads or on paved and unpaved country roads, making it <\/span>suitable mainly for mountain bikes and e-bikes<\/strong>. Its total length places it among the more demanding routes, but <\/span>you can start the circuit from any point along the route<\/strong>, such as from the town of Liptovsk\u00fd Mikul\u00e1\u0161, or you can divide the cycling tour into multiple sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enhance your trip with an easy hike to the Kva\u010dianska and Prosiecka valleys, known for their diverse rock formations, waterfalls, and lush flora. Worth a visit is also the Celtic site and archaeological open-air museum Havr\u00e1nok or <\/span>the remains of the Church of the Virgin Mary, the most photogenic spot on the shore of Liptovsk\u00e1 Mara<\/strong>, where you can descend to the water’s edge. In the village of Sv\u00e4t\u00fd Kr\u00ed\u017e, you will be impressed by one of the largest wooden structures in Europe, with a capacity of nearly 6,000 people. The route also includes the Fun Park \u017diarce, where you can try the steepest bobsled track in Slovakia in the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cycling trail runs through villages and along the hills surrounding the largest water reservoir in Slovakia. For its total length this is one of the most difficult trails. It however can be divided in shorter sections. The terrain is rugged but without long and too difficult ascending. The trail follows less busy second- and third- class roads or unpaved roads which cross the fields, so it is suitable for trek mountain bikes. During your trip you can discover intra-urban areas of the region Liptov with traditional churches or pass extensive meadows and enjoy views of the water surface. The beautiful scenery is surrounded by the ridge of the Low Tatras, West Tatras and High Tatras. In the locality of Havr\u00e1nok it is possible to go down to the dam and visit the church .
On your bike tour you can visit several places and taste traditional Liptov cuisine, and take some pictures of cows, sheep or horses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
