A cable-car trip to Chopok<\/a> is one experience you won\u2019t want to miss on a visit to Liptov. The ride over the mountain slopes offers spectacular panoramas of the Low Tatras, but it\u2019s worth staying up on the ridge a little longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>The new Chopok panoramic trail<\/a>,<\/strong> at an altitude of more than 2,000 metres, combines superb views with a chance to learn more about nature. Slide Park \u2013 a new summer hit with children<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The biggest new attraction this season is <\/span>Slide Park<\/a> \u2013 the Max the Bear adventure trail<\/strong>, which has been an instant hit with young visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seven themed slides introduce the animal inhabitants of the Low Tatras, from bears and lynx to chamois and golden eagles. At each stop, children can learn interesting facts about the animals and use QR codes to listen to their stories on their phones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bike Park Jasn\u00e1 \u2013 fun on two wheels<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Dem\u00e4novsk\u00e1 Valley has plenty for cyclists too. The <\/span>new Bike Park Jasn\u00e1<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0has<\/span> two trails: the Flow Trail <\/strong>for families and less experienced riders, and the <\/span>Sport Trail <\/strong>for those after a more energetic ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gondola carries riders and their bikes comfortably uphill. Then all that\u2019s left to do is put on your helmet and enjoy the ride back down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If technical trails aren\u2019t your thing, don\u2019t worry. Liptov is one of Slovakia\u2019s leading cycling regions, with around <\/span>850 kilometres of way-marked cycle routes<\/strong> of varying difficulty. With the infrastructure continuing to improve and more e-bikes available, recreational cyclists and families with children can enjoy the mountains too. Liptov isn\u2019t just about attractions. In summer, you can visit Slovakia\u2019s highest-altitude sheep farm<\/strong><\/a> at Priehyba, where native Wallachian sheep are once again grazing. This rare breed is known for its distinctive curved horns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
