Flowers will welcome the elite of women\u2019s skiing in Jasn\u00e1<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Perfectly groomed slopes, thousands of fans in the stands, great atmosphere and fantastic performances of the best skiers in the world. The World Cup race in Jasn\u00e1 five years ago was a memorable event for lovers of the white sport. The best Slovak ski resort could soon see another memorable race. In early March, it will once again be a place where female beauty is wedded with great sports performances.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a huge wave of euphoria in Jasn\u00e1 thanks to two Slovak skiers, Veronika Ve-lez-Zuzulov\u00e1 and Petra Vlhov\u00e1 in March 2016, and we have a chance to experience it again. This time, however, we have to cook from ingredients with a slightly bitter taste. Veronika\u2019s retirement from skiing could be expected, but less so the events caused by the spread of the coronavirus. As expected, it also had an impact on the women\u2019s edition of the World Cup. The organisers in Slovakia are in an unenviable situation. After months of uncertainty about whether the race will take place on 6 and 7 March 2021, the Internation-al Ski Federation (FIS) gave Jasn\u00e1 a definite green light in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With or Without Spectators<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To prepare for such an event is to consider all the alternatives. There are many at the moment. This article was written in late October, just a few days after the partial lockdown in Slovakia, when all officials, not only in sports, had more questions than answers. The number of spectators has long been a great unknown. \u201cWe cannot count on a scenario similar to five years ago. However, there is a difference whether you have five thousand people in the stands, a thousand or none at all,\u201d said Matej Hulej, chairman of the Organising Committee. However, the World Cup without spectators would be a wound that heals slowly. You can race without them, but skiers know very well where the best atmosphere and audience is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resort offers more than 50 km of perfectly groomed slopes of varying difficulty. On both sides of Chopok, there are 23 cable cars and lifts, which transport almost 28 500 skiers per hour.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Safety First<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Regardless of the number of spectators, the priority of the organisers will be safety. Compliance with all the regulations of the Government and FIS is difficult and it will have to be addressed by hundreds of people, including a special Covid manager. \u201cThis person will constantly monitor all restrictions and ensure compliance in the individual commissions so that we do not neglect any of them, whether it\u2019s accommodation, meals but also the movement in the resort,\u201d he introduces a position that will probably be necessary for all major sports events, not only in the near future. Meetings and touches will be replaced by distance and an effort to avoid everyone. Strict measures will also affect accommodation for racers: their hotel will be hermetically sealed for the unauthorised people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flowers and beauty<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Flowers and BeautyIn Jasn\u00e1, they have been preparing for the World Cup for several months and the die-hard visitors of the resort will notice changes right from the start of the skiing season. \u201cWe have shown many times that we can organise a great event, and it\u2019s no different this time. Once again, we have several surprises in store. They are not only for the racers but also for regular clients,\u201d Matej Hulej revealed. They include themed decorations in restaurants, which will take on the colours of the countries of the world\u2019s best skiers. Attractive souvenirs with the event logo will be available in the shops. The traditional hats, headbands and T-shirts will be complemented by face masks. \u201cWe have prepared this offer in co-operation with local makers. We want to help them survive difficult times. However, the main theme of the event will be flowers and women\u2019s beauty, so our resort will be decorated in this spirit for several months,\u201d he adds. The \u201cbeauty programme\u201d where make-up artists took care of skiers and their beauty was immortalised in professional photographs, was one of the remarkable experiences on the circuit. So there is something to build on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the number of people that the ski stars will be able to meet in Jasn\u00e1 is considerably limited, the organisers had to cut down on surprises. The presentation of the resort with our gold medallist Petra Vlhov\u00e1 was worth it. \u201cWe focused on our traditions and beauty, which, thanks to Pe\u0165a Vlhov\u00e1, flew around the world. She had no idea that the original flower headdress from our region, which she wore during the photo shoot, is worth around one hundred thousand euro. If conditions are right, we would like to repeat this feat with other world\u2019s top skiers,\u201d the head of the organisers said with cautious optimism. Slovak folklore, headdresses and folk costumes should ac-company the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Fans on Skis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The operators believe that the slopes will be open to skiers with more or fewer restrictions. Even if they don\u2019t make it to the stands, they should not miss the art of the world\u2019s best racers between the gates. \u201cWe want to prepare information screens for them in different places so they know what is going on and do not gather in one place. Most screens will appear at the valley and exit stations of the cable cars, where skiers will be able to stand for a while and see the ride of their favourite racer,\u201d adds Matej Hulej, the chairman of the Organising Committee. We just have to believe that the spectators will be able to fill the stands and, together with millions of TV fans around the world, they will help the exceptional skier born in Liptov to win on the domestic stage. After all, every athlete knows that home victories are the sweetest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Po obrovskej vlne euf\u00f3rie, ktor\u00fa v marci 2016 v Jasnej sp\u00f4sobili najm\u00e4 na\u0161e dve reprezentantky \u2013 Veronika Velez-Zuzulov\u00e1 a Petra Vlhov\u00e1, m\u00e1me \u0161ancu na rovnako chutn\u00e9 repete. Pravda, tento raz mus\u00edme vari\u0165 z ingredienci\u00ed s mierne horkastou pr\u00edchu\u0165ou. Odchod Veroniky do \u0161portov\u00e9ho d\u00f4chodku sa dal o\u010dak\u00e1va\u0165, menej v\u0161ak u\u017e udalosti, ktor\u00e9 do celej spolo\u010dnosti priniesol \u0161\u00edriaci sa v\u00edrus. Pod\u013ea o\u010dak\u00e1vania sa mu nevyhla ani \u017eensk\u00e1 ed\u00edcia Svetov\u00e9ho poh\u00e1ra. Organiz\u00e1tori jeho slovenskej porcie sa tak dostali do nez\u00e1videniahodnej situ\u00e1cie. Po mesiacoch neistoty, \u010di sa v\u00f4bec bud\u00fa 6.-7. marca 2021 preteky na Slovensku kona\u0165, dala Medzin\u00e1rodn\u00e1 ly\u017eiarska feder\u00e1cia FIS v okt\u00f3bri Jasnej definit\u00edvne zelen\u00fa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Pripravi\u0165 sa na tak\u00e9to podujatie znamen\u00e1 r\u00e1ta\u0165 so v\u0161etk\u00fdmi alternat\u00edvami, ktor\u00e9 m\u00f4\u017eu nasta\u0165. A t\u00fdch veru nie je m\u00e1lo. K najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161\u00edm nezn\u00e1mym dlhodobo patr\u00ed po\u010det div\u00e1kov. \u201eS podobn\u00fdm scen\u00e1rom, ako pred piatimi rokmi, nem\u00f4\u017eeme r\u00e1ta\u0165. Je v\u0161ak rozdiel, \u010di m\u00e1te na trib\u00fane p\u00e4\u0165tis\u00edc \u013eud\u00ed, \u010di ich je len tis\u00edc, alebo tam nie s\u00fa v\u00f4bec \u017eiadni,\u201c zam\u00fd\u0161\u013ea sa predseda organiza\u010dn\u00e9ho v\u00fdboru Matej Hulej. Svetov\u00fd poh\u00e1r bez div\u00e1kov by v\u0161ak bola rana, ktor\u00e1 sa pomaly hoj\u00ed. Preteka\u0165 sa s\u00edce d\u00e1 aj bez nich, no u\u017e aj samotn\u00e9 ly\u017eiarky ve\u013emi dobre vedia, kde maj\u00fa najlep\u0161iu atmosf\u00e9ru pod kopcom a naj-\u017ei\u010dlivej\u0161ie publikum. \u201ePri plnej obsadenosti trib\u00fan by sme vedeli prich\u00fdli\u0165 a\u017e takmer 17 tis\u00edc n\u00e1v\u0161tevn\u00edkov strediska. Nateraz to s\u00edce vyzer\u00e1 ako nepodaren\u00e9 sci-fi, ale ktovie, mo\u017eno v marci motyka vystrel\u00ed a budeme musie\u0165 roz\u0161irova\u0165 kapacitu,\u201c nestr\u00e1ca optimizmus Matej Hulej.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pr\u00e1ve \u201ebeauty program\u201c, v r\u00e1mci ktor\u00e9ho sa s ly\u017eiarkami naposledy pohrali viz\u00e1\u017eisti a ich kr\u00e1su zve\u010dnili na profesion\u00e1lnych fotografi\u00e1ch, patril k e\u0161te dlho ospevovan\u00fdm z\u00e1\u017eitkom na celom okruhu pretekov. Len\u017ee, u\u017e samotn\u00e1 prezent\u00e1cia strediska s na\u0161ou zlatou Petrou Vlhovou st\u00e1la za to. \u201eStavili sme na trad\u00edcie a spom\u00ednan\u00fa kr\u00e1su, ktor\u00e1 v\u010faka Peti obletela svet. Sama ani len netu\u0161ila, \u017ee spolo\u010densk\u00e1 hodnota p\u00f4vodnej kvetinovej party z n\u00e1\u0161ho regi\u00f3nu, ktor\u00fa mala pri foten\u00ed na hlave, sa h\u00fdbe okolo stotis\u00edc eur. Ak to podmienky dovolia, podobn\u00fdm \u0161t\u00fdlom by sme sa chceli ubera\u0165 aj s \u010fal\u0161\u00edmi diev\u010datami svetovej ly\u017eiarskej \u0161pi\u010dky,\u201c neskr\u00fdva mierny optimizmus \u0161\u00e9f organiz\u00e1torov. Slovensk\u00fd folkl\u00f3r, party a kroje by mali by\u0165 sprievodn\u00fdm znakom celej akcie. Je v\u0161ak pravdepodobn\u00e9, \u017ee pretek\u00e1rky sa v nich tento raz objavia iba na dia\u013eku a to prostredn\u00edctvom vlastn\u00fdch objekt\u00edvov. E\u0161te\u017ee preteka\u0165 na zjazdovk\u00e1ch zatia\u013e nie je mo\u017en\u00e9 len na soci\u00e1lnych sie\u0165ach a v online prostred\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Prekvapenie aj na trati<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Preteky Svetov\u00e9ho poh\u00e1ra s\u00fa v Jasnej s\u00edce napl\u00e1novan\u00e9 a\u017e na marec, no stredisko t\u00fdmto sviatkom \u017eije u\u017e od za\u010diatku ly\u017eiarskej sez\u00f3ny. Ako prv\u00e9 sa objavili na svahoch b\u00fadky, ktor\u00e9 sl\u00fa\u017eia ly\u017eiarkam ako z\u00e1zemie po\u010das pretekov. Zmizla aj kopa snehu z dojazdovej \u010dasti nad Bielou p\u00fa\u0165ou, ktor\u00fa si organiz\u00e1tori odlo\u017eili na vyrovnanie sklonu zjazdovky e\u0161te z konca vla\u0148aj\u0161ej sez\u00f3ny. Stredisko z\u00e1rove\u0148 zdobia vlajky s logom pretekov a term\u00ednom 6.-7. marec 2021. Do tuh\u00e9ho v\u0161ak za\u010dne \u00eds\u0165 pribli\u017ene tri t\u00fd\u017edne pred t\u00fdmto \u0161portov\u00fdm sviatkom. \u201eNajsk\u00f4r za\u010dneme pripravova\u0165 zjazdovku, ktor\u00e1 potrebuje vy\u0161\u0161iu hr\u00fabku snehu, ako svah pre be\u017en\u00fdch ly\u017eiarov.     Flowers will welcome the elite of women\u2019s skiing in Jasn\u00e1<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

    Perfectly groomed slopes, thousands of fans in the stands, great atmosphere and fantastic performances of the best skiers in the world. The World Cup race in Jasn\u00e1 five years ago was a memorable event for lovers of the white sport. The best Slovak ski resort could soon see another memorable race. In early March, it will once again be a place where female beauty is wedded with great sports performances.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    There was a huge wave of euphoria in Jasn\u00e1 thanks to two Slovak skiers, Veronika Ve-lez-Zuzulov\u00e1 and Petra Vlhov\u00e1 in March 2016, and we have a chance to experience it again. This time, however, we have to cook from ingredients with a slightly bitter taste. Veronika\u2019s retirement from skiing could be expected, but less so the events caused by the spread of the coronavirus. As expected, it also had an impact on the women\u2019s edition of the World Cup. The organisers in Slovakia are in an unenviable situation. After months of uncertainty about whether the race will take place on 6 and 7 March 2021, the Internation-al Ski Federation (FIS) gave Jasn\u00e1 a definite green light in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    With or Without Spectators<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    To prepare for such an event is to consider all the alternatives. There are many at the moment. This article was written in late October, just a few days after the partial lockdown in Slovakia, when all officials, not only in sports, had more questions than answers. The number of spectators has long been a great unknown. \u201cWe cannot count on a scenario similar to five years ago. However, there is a difference whether you have five thousand people in the stands, a thousand or none at all,\u201d said Matej Hulej, chairman of the Organising Committee. However, the World Cup without spectators would be a wound that heals slowly. You can race without them, but skiers know very well where the best atmosphere and audience is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The resort offers more than 50 km of perfectly groomed slopes of varying difficulty. On both sides of Chopok, there are 23 cable cars and lifts, which transport almost 28 500 skiers per hour.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

    Safety First<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Regardless of the number of spectators, the priority of the organisers will be safety. Compliance with all the regulations of the Government and FIS is difficult and it will have to be addressed by hundreds of people, including a special Covid manager. \u201cThis person will constantly monitor all restrictions and ensure compliance in the individual commissions so that we do not neglect any of them, whether it\u2019s accommodation, meals but also the movement in the resort,\u201d he introduces a position that will probably be necessary for all major sports events, not only in the near future. Meetings and touches will be replaced by distance and an effort to avoid everyone. Strict measures will also affect accommodation for racers: their hotel will be hermetically sealed for the unauthorised people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Flowers and beauty<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Flowers and BeautyIn Jasn\u00e1, they have been preparing for the World Cup for several months and the die-hard visitors of the resort will notice changes right from the start of the skiing season. \u201cWe have shown many times that we can organise a great event, and it\u2019s no different this time. Once again, we have several surprises in store. They are not only for the racers but also for regular clients,\u201d Matej Hulej revealed. They include themed decorations in restaurants, which will take on the colours of the countries of the world\u2019s best skiers. Attractive souvenirs with the event logo will be available in the shops. The traditional hats, headbands and T-shirts will be complemented by face masks. \u201cWe have prepared this offer in co-operation with local makers. We want to help them survive difficult times. However, the main theme of the event will be flowers and women\u2019s beauty, so our resort will be decorated in this spirit for several months,\u201d he adds. The \u201cbeauty programme\u201d where make-up artists took care of skiers and their beauty was immortalised in professional photographs, was one of the remarkable experiences on the circuit. So there is something to build on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As the number of people that the ski stars will be able to meet in Jasn\u00e1 is considerably limited, the organisers had to cut down on surprises. The presentation of the resort with our gold medallist Petra Vlhov\u00e1 was worth it. \u201cWe focused on our traditions and beauty, which, thanks to Pe\u0165a Vlhov\u00e1, flew around the world. She had no idea that the original flower headdress from our region, which she wore during the photo shoot, is worth around one hundred thousand euro. If conditions are right, we would like to repeat this feat with other world\u2019s top skiers,\u201d the head of the organisers said with cautious optimism. Slovak folklore, headdresses and folk costumes should ac-company the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    With Fans on Skis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The operators believe that the slopes will be open to skiers with more or fewer restrictions. Even if they don\u2019t make it to the stands, they should not miss the art of the world\u2019s best racers between the gates. \u201cWe want to prepare information screens for them in different places so they know what is going on and do not gather in one place. Most screens will appear at the valley and exit stations of the cable cars, where skiers will be able to stand for a while and see the ride of their favourite racer,\u201d adds Matej Hulej, the chairman of the Organising Committee. We just have to believe that the spectators will be able to fill the stands and, together with millions of TV fans around the world, they will help the exceptional skier born in Liptov to win on the domestic stage. After all, every athlete knows that home victories are the sweetest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
