A unique project in the village called Liptovsk\u00e1 Sielnica, which reminds the history and culture of thirteen villages that were flooded by the water of Liptovsk\u00e1 Mara dam. It is located on the shore of the water reservoir, in the area of Koliby Gr\u00e9ta<\/strong><\/a> restaurant, where you can read information boards that will give you interesting facts and stories about the life of the people who had to leave their homes due to the construction of water works. You can see historical photos of the houses, churches, schools and other buildings that once stood in these villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artificially created mini version relief of the V\u00e1h river is almost identical to the original, all meanders have been properly copied and even the information boards about the villages are installed in the places where they were originally located in the position towards the riverbed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13 flooded historically independent municipalities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>“Here 13 historically independent villages disappeared, which were flooded in 1975 by the water of the Liptovsk\u00e1 Mara dam. Their names will no longer be recorded only on the old maps, but also in this place. Let’s not forget the people who lived here and their destinies,”<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong>informs the introductory information board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The area of Koliba Greta restaurant as well as neighbouring businesses facilities is located on the place where the historic village called Liptovsk\u00e1 Sielnica stood in the past. It was the only one of the flooded villages rebuilt about two kilometers north of the original village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mini-open-air museum project was created in cooperation with <\/span>the Liptov Museum and the Slovak Water Management Enterprise, state company.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

13 zaniknut\u00fdch historicky samostatn\u00fdch obc\u00ed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u201eTu zaniklo 13 historicky samostatn\u00fdch obc\u00ed, ktor\u00e9 boli v roku 1975 zatopen\u00e9 vodou priehrady Liptovsk\u00e1 Mara. Ich men\u00e1 u\u017e nebud\u00fa zaznamenan\u00e9 iba v star\u00fdch map\u00e1ch, ale aj na tomto mieste. Nezabudnime na \u013eud\u00ed, ktor\u00ed tu \u017eili a na ich osudy<\/strong>.\u201c hl\u00e1sa \u00favodn\u00e1 tabu\u013ea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are\u00e1l Koliby Gr\u00e9ta ako aj susedn\u00fdch prev\u00e1dzok sa nach\u00e1dza na mieste, kde v minulosti st\u00e1la historick\u00e1 Liptovsk\u00e1 Sielnica, ktor\u00e1 bola ako jedin\u00e1 zo zatopen\u00fdch obc\u00ed aj nanovo vybudovan\u00e1 asi dva kilometre severne od p\u00f4vodnej obce. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
