Monastery Church of St. Peter of Alcantara is the largest sacral building in Liptov and at the same time a unique Gothic architecture in Slovakia<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The church consists of a three-nave hall with a length of 25 meters and a 17-meter-long sanctuary, illuminated by 4 Gothic apse windows and covered with a beautiful net vault. A Franciscan crypt was built in the centre of the sanctuary in the middle of the 18th century. The three-nave space is arched with a beautiful star vault supported by 6 columns. In its central part there are 4 medieval paintings called “Franciscan Heaven”. Others are located above the triumphal arch, where there is the “Bernardine Sun” situated in the middle. The paintings were discovered and restored to their original form during the last reconstruction. The interior of the church consists of the main baroque altar of St. Peter of Alcantara and 6 side baroque altars, a pulpit with statues of four evangelists and ornately carved patron benches from 1721. A chapel is added to the nave from the north side and below it there are the tombs of peasants of the Okoli\u010diansk\u00fd family. The Ladislav Mattyasovsk\u00fd Museum, established in the cloister connecting the church and the monastery, is entered from the church through a Gothic portal discovered in 2011. The parish museum provides visitors with an insight into the spiritual life of the Franciscans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kl\u00e1\u0161torn\u00fd kostol sv. Petra z Alkantary je najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161ou sakr\u00e1lnou stavbou Liptova a z\u00e1rove\u0148 unik\u00e1tom gotick\u00e9ho stavite\u013estva na Slovensku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kostol pozost\u00e1va z halov\u00e9ho trojlodia s d\u013a\u017ekou 25 metrov a 17-metrov dlhej sv\u00e4tyne, osvetlenej 4 gotick\u00fdmi oknami apsidy a prekryt\u00e1 n\u00e1dhernou sie\u0165ovou klenbou. Uprostred sv\u00e4tyne bola v polovici 18. storo\u010dia vybudovan\u00e1 franti\u0161k\u00e1nska krypta. Trojlo\u010fov\u00fd priestor je zaklenut\u00fd kr\u00e1snou hviezdicovou klenbou podopretou 6 st\u013apmi. V jej centr\u00e1lnej \u010dasti s\u00fa umiestnen\u00e9 4 stredovek\u00e9 ma\u013eby ozna\u010dovan\u00e9 ako \u201eFranti\u0161k\u00e1nske nebo\u201c. \u010eal\u0161ie sa nach\u00e1dzaj\u00fa nad triumf\u00e1lnym obl\u00fakom, uprostred ktor\u00fdch je situovan\u00e9 \u201eBernard\u00ednske slnko\u201c. Ma\u013eby boli objaven\u00e9 a obnoven\u00e9 do p\u00f4vodnej podoby po\u010das poslednej rekon\u0161trukcie. Vn\u00fatorn\u00e9 zariadenie kostola pozost\u00e1va z hlavn\u00e9ho barokov\u00e9ho olt\u00e1ra sv. Petra z Alkantary a 6 bo\u010dn\u00fdch barokov\u00fdch olt\u00e1rov, kazate\u013enice so sochami \u0161tyroch evanjelistov a ozdobne vyrez\u00e1van\u00fdch patron\u00e1tnych lav\u00edc z r. 1721. Zo severnej strany je k lodi pristavan\u00e1 kaplnka a pod \u0148ou s\u00fa hrobky zemanov z rodu Okoli\u010dianskych. Do m\u00fazea Ladislava Mattyasovszk\u00e9ho, zriaden\u00e9ho v kr\u00ed\u017eovej chodbe sp\u00e1jaj\u00facej kostol a kl\u00e1\u0161tor, sa vstupuje z kostola gotick\u00fdm port\u00e1lom objavenom v r. 2011. Farsk\u00e9 m\u00fazeum umo\u017e\u0148uje n\u00e1v\u0161tevn\u00edkom nahliadnu\u0165 do duchovn\u00e9ho \u017eivota franti\u0161k\u00e1nov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
