“Prosiecka a Kvačianska dolina” Nature Trail (Prosiecka and Kvačianska valleys) Prosiecka and Kvačianska valleys are the most visited localities in the region of Liptov in summer. For their undemanding terrain, they are very popular with families having kids. Except for the mills Oblazy, a waterfall and wooden observation decks, the hiking trail is complemented by a nature trail. The trail has 12 stops with information boards consisting of geographical, biological and historical data of the amazing locality.
There are paid car parks at the beginning of both valleys. The size of the car parks is sufficient; the car park in Kvačany has an asphalt surface.
Bus service is available from the town of Liptovský Mikuláš to the villages of Prosiek and Kvačany. A timetable is available here.
Apart from the basic services (grocery store, pub) available in both villages, there is also a buffet at the car park (the starting/finishing point of the trail) situated at the end of the village of Prosiek. Roughly about halfway along the trail, there is a village of Veľké Borové with its local pub offering refreshments. Since 2006, the local craft brewery with a restaurant has been operating in Kvačany.
There are several facilities to offer accommodation, such as private houses, cottages, log cabins or smaller guest houses in Prosiek, Kvačany, and Veľké Borové.
