The village is situated at the northern shore of the water dam Liptovská Mara, which offers many opportunities for water sports (sailing, surfing, windsurfing, boating, riding water scooters, water cycling), sightseeing boat cruise or fishing. On the cliffs of Sestrčský hill you will find the ruins of Liptovský (Sielnický) castle - uppermost in Slovakia (1001 m) built in the 13th century. (Show more)

On the cliffs of Sestrčský hill you will find the ruins of Liptovský (Sielnický) castle - uppermost in Slovakia (1001 m) built in the 13th century. To get there you can get the marked path from the village Kalameny.
Near the village there is a camp Liptovský Trnovec Tatralandia, Thermal park Bešeňová. The closest ski resorts are Ski Park Ružomberok - Malinô Brdo (22 km) and Jasná (25 km).
